Release: 1.56.0
Production Release: August 26, 2022 (9 PM ET)
The latest release of NPOconnect includes the new Prospective Administrator Outreach feature, updates to the Payments page to include the Company from whom the payment came, the ability to upload more than one document when providing banking details for use in the disbursement of charitable fund payments, and more.
Prospective Administrator Outreach
New Prospective Nonprofit Administrators feature automates outreach to potential administrators for nonprofit organizations
In the new Prospective Nonprofit Administrators area, new prospects can be added to the system one at a time or bulk imported from a spreadsheet. NPOconnect will then automatically send the prospect an email message customized to the reason chosen when adding them to the system, inviting them to register in NPOconnect and become an Administrator for a specific nonprofit.
From there, the prospect will continue to receive up to 6 reminder emails over a 2-month period until they join NPOconnect and become a Nonprofit Administrator. If there is no response after 6 outreach attempts, the prospect is marked as No response and outreach is discontinued. Additionally, prospects can choose to opt out of outreach communications if they wish.
Tip: If you are a Nonprofit Administrator in your organization's account, you can view your prospects by going to the User Management > Prospective Administrators area.
For more information, see the Prospective Nonprofit Administrators resources.
Disbursement
Company name is now displayed in Payments details
You can now view the company associated with a transaction in the Payments area. The company’s name will be displayed in a new Company column in the Payments table. If there is more than one company associated with a payment, then the number of companies will appear in the column instead. You can then click on it to view the company names.
Added option to upload multiple banking files when setting up ACH disbursement
When setting up ACH in the Administration > Disbursement Information area, a Nonprofit Administrator now has the option to upload more than one banking document as needed. In previous iterations, organizations were limited to one file in the upload process. This will aid Blackbaud Compliance in approving Banking Details when, for example, evidence of a nonprofit name change is required as well as proof of banking account details.
Additional updates
-
NPOconnect now supports SWIFT codes of exactly 8 or 11 characters. The first six characters must be letters (e.g., CHASUS33 or CHASUS33A3A), and the remaining characters can be alpha-numeric. Learn more.
-
In an effort to better support International currencies, any donations and payments included in emails and downloads will be formatted based on the Local Currency Type provided during payment rather than the user’s selected locale.
Nonprofit Management
