YourCause + Blackbaud requires specific documentation to be submitted when a nonprofit organization is completing its Domestic Vetting application.
Why do I need to submit this documentation?
A U.S.-based nonprofit organization may not be currently eligible for giving in the Global Good Network due to one of the following:
- They have an IRS configuration that requires further documentation to ensure compliance with the Global Good Network guidelines.
- They are not currently listed in the IRS Business Master File (BMF) or Pub78 file. These files are the IRS's definitive record of tax-exempt organizations, including Group Exemptions, Government Entities, and Supporting Organizations.
The documentation we request as part of your Domestic Vetting application allows us to vet your organization and ensure it meets all the criteria legally allowed to receive charitable donations and grants through the Global Good Network.
What documentation do I need?
The documentation required will depend on the type of organization that you represent. Organization types include:
- A standard 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
- A nonprofit organization that is exempt under a group exemption
