Specific documentation is required to confirm that you are part of an organization and that your role entitles you access to NPOconnect. Requirements will vary depending on where your organization is based.
- Domestic organizations based in the United States
- International organizations based outside of the United States
- International organizations based in Germany
Documentation requirements
All organizations must keep the following in mind when submitting documentation regardless of where the organization is based.
- All documentation must include your name and the organization's name. We are not able to accept documentation that does not include both details.
- Documents cannot be in editable format when submitted. For example, a PDF file is accepted but a Microsoft Word or Excel file is not.
- Business cards are not accepted.
Important: We highly recommend that all individuals register in NPOconnect with their charity email addresses.
Acceptable documents for US-based organizations
Organizations based in the United States may submit any of the following documents for role verification:
- Nonprofit Letter - This is a letter written and signed by your employer and one other person (i.e., authorized agent). The letter must be on official letterhead.
- Offer Letter - This is a letter received prior to employment.
- Employee Badge
- Copy of Directory - Organization name must be shown on the document.
- Copy of a 990 - You must be shown as a member of the organization.
- Paycheck Stub

Organizations that are based outside of the United States may submit any of the following documents for role verification:
