Why complete your Global Goals Profile?
YourCause has built a Global Goals Profile measuring how employee engagement translates to the real world.
By completing your profile, you can choose which SDGs apply to your organization and even record the percentage of dollars and volunteer time attributed towards achieving each selected SDG.
Completing your profile allows YourCause to produce reports reflecting your organization’s impact and will also attract donors and volunteers that share your passions and interests.
Is completing the Global Goals Profile mandatory?
No, although the Global Goals Profile is a valuable way to convey your impact on the SDGs as a whole, completing this Profile is not mandatory. If you don't receive financial or volunteer contributions, or if your donations and volunteers contribute to areas outside of the scope of the Global Goals, feel free to leave your Global Goals Profile blank and disregard the following steps.
If your organization's mission and/or programs are aligned with one or more of the Global Goals defined above, you can complete your Global Goals Profile by following the steps provided below:
Completing your Global Goals (SDG) Profile
- Navigate to Administration >> Select 'Sustainable Development Goals'
- Select whether your organization receives financial contributions and/or engages volunteers to help reach its goals, then click 'Next Step'
- Next, browse the available Global Goals and select all Goal(s) and sub-target(s) that are most relevant to your organization's mission and programs. After selecting your goals, click 'Next Step'
- Use the sliders to divide your giving and volunteering efforts among the various goals you selected in the previous step. Once you have allocated your giving and volunteering contributions, select 'Next Step'.
Total allocation among your selected goals and targets should always add up to 100%; for example, if you selected Goal #2 - Zero Hunger and Goal #3 - Good Health and Well-Being, 50% of giving might support Goal #2 and the other 50% may go towards Goal #3.
- On the final page of the Global Goals profile, verify the information you have provided is reflected correctly, then select 'Confirm and Finish'.
